Champion Kit:Murdok

                     Champion Concept: Murdok

Resource System: Mana
Role: Top, Jungler
Murdok has AD ratios

Passive: Symbiotic Bond: When both Murdok and Larsa are alive one of them gains a buff that heals them overtime. This buff heals them for .25% percent of their max health per second and who receives it is determined by who has the lower hp percentage. When they have equal hp percentages the buff defaults to Murdok until Larsa has a 10% hp difference. If whoever has the buff takes damage from any source except minions the buff stops and does not restart until they have not taken any non-minion damage for 10 seconds.

Q-Pummel/ Rend: Pummel-Murdok Pummels the target for heavy damage, acts as an autoattack reset. Rend-Larsa’s next autoattack rends the flesh from a target doing heavy damage, acts as an autoattack reset. Damage for both abilities are increased with health and attack damage. Subsequent levels of this spell increase the damage done and increases the damage gained from health and attack damage.

W-Enraged Regeneration/Feeding Frenzy: Enraged Regenration-Murdok heals himself and increases his attack speed for a short time. Feeding Frenzy: Passive-Each autoattack heals Larsa for a base amount. Active-Larsa gains a large buff to movement and attack speed and doubles the heal gained from autoattacking for a short time. Subsequent levels of this spell increase the healing done and attack speed gained as well as the bonus movement speed to Larsa.

E- Sinew Net /Nip at Heels: Sinew Net-Murdok throws a net of sinews snaring the target. Nip at Heels: Larsa’s next autoattack against an enemy champion taunts them. Snare and Taunt duration are increased with each skill point invested in the ability. Nip at Heels still triggers even if Sinew Net is not used on a target. (Smart Cast Recommended) Subsequent levels of this spell increase the snare and taunt duration.

R-Summon Larsa: This ability is automatically learned at lvl 1 and can be upgraded at 6,12, and 18 for bonus stats to Larsa. Larsa gains hp, attack damage, armor, magic resist and movement speed in proportion to Murdok’s bonus hp, bonus attack damage, bonus armor, bonus magic resist, and movement speed. The proportion of stats gained, are increased with each point invested in this ability. Larsa can stay on the battlefield until killed. Larsa’s movements are controlled with R or alt right click. In addition if Larsa strays too far from Murdok he gains separation anxiety, draining a large percentage of his hp every second. Larsa cannot benefit from Symbiotic Bond when he has separation anxiety. When Larsa dies the CD to summon him starts.

Side Note- While Larsa is meant to be tankier than the average pet (Tibbers, Shaco Clone, etc.) he is meant to be less tanky than Murdok. So while taking out Larsa in a fight would take some effort and focus it would be more difficult to take out Murdok. Having Larsa be tanky enough to survive some AoE and some focus but not tanky enough to take on a whole team is important as it would not be fun for the player if Larsa died whenever someone sneezed in his general direction, nor would it be fun for the enemy team if Larsa just withstood their full teams’ focus or even their carries focus for any extended period of time. Finding a balance and making the player choose Larsa’s position carefully is important to the gameplay so the numbers would have to be very carefully calibrated.

When making Murdok I wanted to take the concept of Claire’s clone and make it simpler to use while still stressing the dual control. I wanted Larsa to be a very useful tool with abilities separate from his partner. When figuring out how to better control dual characters I thought that instead of having to trigger and target with two separate characters, you could just add an autoattack modifier to the secondary character who would trigger their abilities off of that. From this you could add almost any effect to an autoattack making it very easy to trigger abilities from the secondary character as you can control his actions with just the R key. This would simplify the control of the secondary character letting control of the primary character and the interactions between the two of them flow better.
